Tech14 is the biggest independent event for the Oracle Technology community in the UK, but did you know that UKOUG holds many other Special Interest Groups (SIGs) events throughout the year, which can help you get the most out of your Tech14 experience?
What is a SIG?
SIGs are a half day, one day or evening event with an agenda based around a particular Oracle Technology theme. Why attend a SIG?
Attending SIGs are a great way to explore a topical subject in detail and ultimately help you work more productively and efficiently.
SIGs are also the perfect way to prepare for Tech14. You will get a head-start on the topics covered on the Tech14 agenda, so you can arrive ahead of the game, aware of the gaps in your knowledge and how you can fill them!
Because they're smaller events, SIGs are also a great way to make new connections, who you can meet up with again at the Tech14 sessions and socials.
Which SIGs should I attend?
UKOUG has an autumn calendar full of Technology SIGs in the lead up to Tech14. Take a look at the calendar and SIG agendas here.
How to attend a SIG
Passes to attend SIGs are included with membership so make sure you make use of them. Non members can also attend and pay for their place, but if you’re planning on attending Tech14, it will most likely be cheaper to take out a membership.
